Fans Think Roseanne Barr Looked Defeated Discussing Co-Star John Goodman

Even with The Conners’ 100th episode, fans are still reminded of the brutal feud between Roseanne Barr and Sara Gilbert. However, since Roseanne’s firing from the show, she has been a completely different person in public, a more raw version to say the least. Barr was unapologetic for her Donald Trump support. But still, the sting of leaving Roseanne hurt, especially given her insane salary.

Looking back at how everything unfolded, Barr is particularly upset with the way her co-stars handled the situation. That was especially true for John Goodman. We’ll reveal why Barr is still upset with her castmates, despite the fact that he defended her in recent years.

In addition, we’ll reveal how the fans reacted to Barr’s thoughts, and what Goodman has had to say.

It is well known by now, Roseanne Barr exited Roseanne after a controversial tweet. Roseanne didn’t get any help from her co-stars either. In fact, Sara Gilbert was constantly going after her, while John Goodman chose to remain quiet for months until he finally revealed that he felt sorry for his co-star.

Speaking on The Sound of Freedom podcast, Barr revealed she wasn’t buying Goodman’s “bs.” In Barr’s view, it took way too long for Goodman to defend her and had he said something earlier, perhaps her job would have been saved.

A defeated Barr said, “Big deal. It took him three months to say that after he split my money with the other actors. Why didn’t he say anything in the beginning? Why didn’t he say anything when Sara attacked me?”

Barr concludes, “There’s nothing any one of them can do to make up for what they put me through. There’s nothing they can do to apologize to my mother and my family. And people who love me. Nothing. Sorry. Moving on.”

As expected, fans had a lot to say looking back at the moment. For the most part, Roseanne received a lot of support for her words. She has been very raw since her exit from Roseanne during interviews, and fans appreciate her honesty.

Fans Felt Sympathy For Roseanne Barr And How She Was Treated
Fans had a lot to say following Barr’s reveal. Certain fans appreciated the genuine version of Barr, while others felt sorry for the former sitcom star, and could see the genuine pain in her eyes looking back at how the entire ordeal unfolded.

Some of the most liked comments wrote, “It broke her heart. You can tell. Look in her eyes.” Another fan wrote, “Rosanne being unfiltered is one of the greatest things to happen to the world. I wish she wasn’t hurt in the process but that trauma has unleashed a fierce righteous warrior.”

“Good for you Roseanne, you are a much better, stronger person then that group. You made the show Roseanne and made their household names, for them to turn on you shows how mean spirited they are. Love ya Roseanne.” Another fan wrote, “She speaks the truth and most people can’t handle the truth.”

Although it isn’t worth much from Barr’s standpoint, Goodman has defended his former co-star in recent times, and his opinion hasn’t changed.

John Goodman doesn’t regret speaking up for Roseanne, even though the actress wasn’t receptive to his words. Goodman is still defending his decision, even though it came with a lot of controversy.

“No. I remember attending some kind of junket where they saw the pilot, and then the interviews, and it just turned into an attack,” he said. “It made me really uncomfortable witnessing them go after Roseanne.”

Goodman continues, “Yeah, I felt bad for her. And then, yeah… I just feel terrible about the whole thing. You know, we had a great time. And I love her. She’s just her own person.”

The actor added that he is open to reuniting with Barr on a project in the future.

“I don’t know. If she’d like to… I just don’t know. I miss her. I wish her well.”

It seems like the other co-stars weren’t as kind to Barr. Sara Gilbert in particular went after Roseanne once the controversy started. Roseanne claims that she was constantly being bashed by Gilbert on The Talk, but things finally changed after she gave her a call, and told the actress to keep her name out of her mouth. Roseanne revealed that since that moment took place, Gilbert has never mentioned her name again on television.
