Quinn Has to Disappear”: Ransom Canyon Showrunner Teases a Shocking Time Jump and Major Shake-Up in Season 2
Ransom Canyon left viewers reeling — with killers exposed, loyalties shattered, and Quinn riding off to face her demons alone. But if Netflix greenlights Season 2, fans shouldn’t expect to pick up right where things left off. In a new interview, showrunner April Blair dropped a bombshell: the next season could begin with a major time jump — and Quinn might be gone for months.

“We would need to because I don’t want to do anything in New York,” Blair told TV Insider. “Quinn needs to go away and save her ranch… She says, ‘I’m going to go away for six months.’ So the idea right now is that we’d do at least a six-month time jump.”
That means the aftermath of Davis’s explosive punch and the scheming between him, Staten, and the senator could unfold offscreen — setting the stage for a whole new chapter when we return.
Despite its massive success — 2.5 million views and a Top 5 global ranking — Netflix has yet to renew Ransom Canyon. Fans are furious, wondering why one of the streamer’s biggest hits is still in limbo. Could Netflix be holding out for an even bigger Season 2 reveal, or is Ransom Canyon at risk of vanishing into the dust just like Quinn?
