Taylor Sheridan’s New ‘Yellowstone’ Spin-Off Hit With Unexpected Update md20

Sheridan is also hard at work filming the third season of his dark ops CIA thriller show, Lioness, which is also casting extras. The Lioness production team is looking for stunt doubles for some big-time action sequences. The fate of Lioness was shrouded in uncertainty for months after the Season 2 finale, but Paramount just announced a few weeks ago that the show had officially been renewed for Season 3. Leading star Zoe Saldaña celebrated the news not long after with a photo from behind the scenes, confirming that production was underway on the third season.

It’s also been reported that Taylor Sheridan will begin to leave Paramount over the next few years, with his contractual obligations to the studio being completely fulfilled by the end of 2028. Before he leaves, though, Sheridan still has a few more shows to make and two movies. He’s writing a new Sicario-esque action movie titled F.A.S.T., and he’s also been recruited to write the script for a new Call of Duty movie with Peter Berg directing.

Taylor Sheridan’s next new series will be released on November 16, when Landman Season 2 begins streaming on Paramount+. Hailed as Sheridan’s Yellowstone replacement, Landman Season 1 was Paramount’s biggest new series ever, so it’s fair to say that anticipation for Landman Season 2 is through the roof. The series will return veterans like Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore, and it’s also added newcomers like Sam Elliot to the cast. Beloved star Andy Garcia, who briefly appeared in Season 1, is expected to have a much larger role in Season 2. Jon Hamm is not expected to return in Season 2 as Monty Miller.

Stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage on all of Sheridan’s movies and TV shows.
