Elsbeth is known for its guest stars. The series, which is a spin-off of The Good Wife, stars Carrie Preston as Elsbeth Tascioni, a lawyer who is working with the New York police department to help them solve murders. Mainly because she is very observant and uses that skill to sniff out the people who commit some heinous crimes. From Stephen Moyer to Nathan Lane and more, there have been quite a few great guest star killers on the show, and we’re excited to share an exclusive look at the latest guest star on Elsbeth’s roster: Julia Fox.
Fox, who recently starred in the movie Him as well as Josh Safdie and Benny Safdie’s Uncut Gems, is taking on the hit crime dramedy series. In a new exclusive clip, we get to see Fox as Raquel Drabowski who is coming to the police department to pick up her mother-in-law. The woman, played by Cathy Moriarty, claims that her son, who potentially died in a helicopter crash, contacted her and said he was fine, and he’d come and see her after he met with his wife. But he never showed. Elsbeth already seems pretty suspect of Fox’s Raquel and…well, we know how that goes for people.
Fox stars as a “grief influencer” who is known for being a widow. Whether that means she is behind her husband’s murder or not, we’ll have to wait and see, but it isn’t looking great for her squaring off against Elsbeth. The synopsis for the episode is as follows:
“When ‘grief influencer’ Raquel Drabowski’s (Julia Fox) presumed-dead husband makes a miraculous return, their reunion takes a fatal plunge. Meanwhile, Elsbeth’s surprise reunion with an old friend could expose a dangerous undercover operation.”
The Guest Stars Are What Make ‘Elsbeth’ Special
Since the series began airing in 2024, Elsbeth has had a long line of great guest stars as part of it. Each new star has brought either a case for Elsbeth to solve or, in the case of Ioan Gruffudd, a new love interest for Elsbeth to connect with. Fans don’t know whether they’re the killer or not and that’s part of the fun. While our sneak peek seems to hint that Fox’s character is the killer, we’ll have to tune in Thursday to find out — and watching Fox and Preston square off is bound to be fun!
