As a die-hard fan of Friends, I couldn’t resist imagining what a Season 11 might look like. Here are four story arcs I created—fully fictional, but in the spirit of the show:

Monica & Chandler’s Suburban Adventure
In this imagined season, Monica and Chandler move their twins Jack and Erica into a brand-new house in the suburbs. Monica treats it as an extension of her chef career—starting a “Friends & Family” catering business—while Chandler, reluctantly commuting to New York, tries to launch a podcast about adulting. The usual apartment drop-ins continue, but the change of scene gives fresh life to the dynamic.
Rachel’s Fashion Startup
Rachel, having achieved her dream job in fashion, starts a sustainable-clothing line. Business pressures mount, and she calls on Ross for PR support—leading to comedic tension about balancing romance and professionalism. Meanwhile Joey keeps crashing her launch events with celebrity cameos of his own.
Joey’s Acting Comeback… or Not
Joey gets a role in a revival of a soap opera, but the show’s flop gives him side-hustles: teaching “How You Doin’?” improv classes, and launching a cooking vlog from his apartment. In true Joey style, everything is extravagantly exaggerated. Phoebe guest-stars as his eccentric cooking partner.
Phoebe’s Peace & Music Tour
Phoebe returns to her musical roots with a world tour of “Smelly Cat: The Musical”. She drags the gang along for cameos—Monica catering backstage, Chandler doing ticketing mishaps, and Ross offering paleontology-themed lounge shows for the audience. The show balances absurd humour with heartfelt moments about growth and change.
If you were writing Season 11 yourself, which storyline would you pick? Would you tune in to this revival of Friends, or prefer to leave it as the perfect original?
