Alison Sweeney made yet another impactful entrance to Days of our Lives, when Sami Brady returned to Salem to attend the Tom Horton Free Clinic gala on the November 11th episode of the Peacock streaming soap opera.
This will be a short stay for Sweeney, who will only appear in two more episodes for the rest of the week. However, as Sami makes her return she first heads to the Brady Pub to see her dad, but she runs into Kate (Lauren Koslow) and her ex-husband and former kidnapper, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo). The two have a conversation about what went down last between them and she forgives Lucas, but he notices a big diamond rock of a ring on her finger. She informs Lucas she’s engaged, and then heads out.
Later, she visits EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), another former husband in his office, and probably up until now, the greatest love of her life, even though they previously put new meaning to a “love/hate” relationship. When Sami talks with her ex, she divulged and showed off her ring that she is marrying Dante Vitali! EJ responds “Are you out of your bloody mind?” Obviously with the last name Vitali, Dante must be related to Ava Vitali (formerly Tamara Braun) and her mobster family.
Apparently, Dante is in Italy as Sami insisted to EJ that he, “Doesn’t know anything about his cousins in Pennsylvania.” EJ doesn’t back down and tells her, “That doesn’t make him any less dangerous!” Sami tells EJ, that her fiancé had never met Ava and then the subject of Ava’s son, Charlie Dale (formerly Mike Manning) gets brought up , who actually raped Sami’s daughter, Allie Horton (formerly Lindsay Arnold).
EJ found himself laughing off her entire engagement. He reckoned that Sami was trying to convince herself that she was over him by nabbing a “rich Italian stallion.” He smirks and says, “10 to 1 you don’t make it down the aisle.” Most would agree with that bet; that Sami would never get to wear an expensive wedding dress, before her newly-found relationship blows up in her face.

HOW DO I KNOW YOU?
At the end of the episode, Sami arrives at University Hospital and runs into Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord). The two seem to know each other, but can’t initially put their finger on it. We see Cat flashing back to Sami sitting at a man with a bandaged face hospital bedside, and later, Cat in what would appear to be a some sort of white medical wear, reading to the same man. Was that supposed to be the late John Black? Someone else? What’s going on?
THE SAGA OF DOUG AND JULIE AND MICKEY AND MAGGIE
Being this is Days of our Lives 60th anniversary week, there will be historical nuggets along the way, and none more so than Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), the current longest running cast members on the soap, talking about their stormy pasts with their beloved late husbands, Doug Williams (the late Bill Hayes) and Mickey Horton (the late John Clarke). The conversation starr because Julie was startled by Chad’s (Billy Flynn) son, Thomas (Cary Christopher), almost being run over by a car.
For Julie, she flashes back to the classic footage of when Julie walked out on Doug. Then her mother, Addie Horton swopped in and took Doug for herself. The two were married and Addie became pregnant with Hope. Next, Addie was diagnosed with leukemia and instead of trying to seek treatment, she did not want to harm her unborn baby. Eventually, Addie gave birth to Hope, but was later killed in a hit and run accident, which then opened the door for Doug and Julie to reunite.
For Maggie, she recalls a mysterious man, Marty Hanson showing up at the front porch of the farm she lived on. Eventually, she has the defining moment when she reads that Marty is actually the missing Mickey Horton. Afraid she would lose him, Maggie has surgery to walk again with the help of Mickey’s ex, Laura Horton played by Susan Flannery.
