Gordon Ramsay has some big feelings about weight loss drugs. The renowned TV chef didn’t hold back in a recent interview when he was asked about other restaurants now catering to customers using meds like Mounjaro and Ozempic with new menu options.
“That is absolute bulls**t,” Ramsay, 59, said in an interview with The Times published on November 8. “There’s no f***ing way we’re giving in to the Mounjaro jab.”
He continued, “The problem is with them [the diners] for eating too much in the first f**king place! There’s no way that we’re coming in with an Ozempic tasting menu to make you feel like less of a fat f**k by 10:30 in the evening.”
Weight loss medication wasn’t the only thing Ramsay wasn’t caving to when it came to his involvement with Bonheur, the new fine-dining restaurant in London led by chef Matt Abé. While Bonheur is Abé’s first independent venture, Ramsay helped secure the space and serves as a business partner and mentor, but Abé runs the restaurant and kitchen.
“The restaurant won’t be flooded with TikTokers,” Ramsay told the outlet. “F**king ring lights and posting about how good the food is.”
He admitted that social media praise can be useful for marketing but said it can ruin the experience for other guests, adding that Americans are the biggest offenders “because they’re constantly taking f**king pictures with their flashlights on.”
