Fran Drescher made an appearance at the 2023 Grammy Awards and stunned in a shimmery jumpsuit with matching makeup and earrings. It was revealed that one of the people on her style team is Brenda Cooper, the costume designer for The Nanny.

The Hotel Transylvania actress also admitted to Yahoo Entertainment that she can still fit into some of Fran Fine’s iconic outfits. “I have a few pieces that still fit. Some stretch pantsuits, some thigh-high boots, some coats, some turtlenecks, maybe a vest.”

She went on to say that Brenda Cooper still has a lot of the pieces from the show as well and still gives Drescher-style tips to this day. Part of The Nanny‘s popularity was certainly Fran Fine’s iconic outfits.

A Possible The Nanny Reboot Might Be In The Works

Rumors of a reboot or sequel have been swirling since The Nanny cast had their reunion read together, but there has finally been some news straight from Fran Drescher’s mouth regarding the future of the show.

According to ET, the actress opened up about having “a big meeting with our partners at Sony,” who helped distribute The Nanny the first go around. Fran goes on to admit, “This is the 30th anniversary year that the series started, and I want to do something special.”

The Nanny has apparently also caught its second wind thanks to its run on HBO Max, which has opened it up to an entirely new audience. Outside a reboot and a musical, there is also confirmation of a film based on the popular show, which will be set in a more modern setting.

The film may also feature some of the show’s original cast, some of which have moved on to other projects in the meantime. Some have gone on to film or television, some to Broadway productions, and some have fallen back on acting to live “normal” lives.

The Nanny may have ended several years ago, but its impact can still be felt to the present day thanks to the show’s iconic fashions and a fresh wave of new fans thanks to its new home on HBO Max.

Fans both new and old can now excitedly wait for not only the show’s reboot, but a musical and film to relive the comedy, and hopefully, the amazing fashion designs, that many grew to love, idolize, and emulate.
