Holly Ramsay, 25, and Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, will reportedly celebrate a Christmas Day wedding
Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly and her Olympic swimmer fiancé Adam Peaty are reportedly set to tie the knot at Bath Abbey on Christmas Day – but Adam’s parents may not be there amid a family feud.
The Mirror has reported that the iconic 7th Century Abbey, formerly a Benedictine monastery, will be the venue for the couple’s nuptials next month, snubbing Cornwall, where the Ramsays have a home and spent the first lockdown.
Holly’s father, famous chef and restaurateur Gordon Ramsay, revealed earlier this year on The Jonathan Ross Show that it was set to be a Christmas wedding, with the planning in full swing.
And while Gordon has nothing but praise for his future son-in-law, saying “We couldn’t ask for anyone better”, it seems that the feelings towards Holly, 25, from her future in-laws may not be quite so warm.
Holly celebrated her hen party last weekend at the super-exclusive Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire, surrounded by loved ones including her mum Tana, 51, and close family friend Victoria Beckham. But one person who was noticeably not present was Adam’s mum, Caroline.
Mum-of-four Caroline, 59, was reportedly left ‘hurt’ by the exclusion, sharing a post on Instagram after the hen party with the caption: “The ones I love are the people who hurt me the most.”
And tensions have only spiralled since then, as Holly and Adam, 30, have now decided to ‘ban’ Caroline from attending their wedding, according to The Mirror.
In fact, it is now believed that the only family member from Adam’s side who will celebrate the big day with the couple is his sister, Bethany. A number of others who were invited are reportedly unable to afford the cost of travel and accommodation.
One relative told The Daily Mail: “We were sent a ‘save the date’ and it’s all these country houses. I’m on Universal Credit – I can’t afford that. Adam has been changed by money, fame and fortune. He seems to have forgotten where he came from.”
It is not just his mum that Adam and Holly appear to have fallen out with. His older brother James, 34, was reportedly arrested at his home in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, last Monday (November 11), over allegations he sent threats to Adam during his stag weekend in Budapest.
The sportsman was met by police when he arrived back at Manchester Airport after his weekend away, as Holly had alerted officers to ‘alarming’ texts Adam had been receiving that were allegedly from his brother, reports The Mirror.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police confirmed: “We arrested a 34-year-old man, from the Uttoxeter area, on November 11, 2025, on suspicion of harassment. The man was released on conditional bail while our enquiries continue.”
Following the incident, Adam’s dad Mark told The Sun: “They’re brothers. They’ve always been close but like any normal family, brothers fight, argue, fall out, make-up and start all over again.
“But it’s got out of hand. There’s been very little empathy towards Jamie’s genuine mental health difficulties.”
However, following Holly’s hen party, a source close to the bride-to-be suggested that Adam’s mum, Caroline, may not have been invited to the event as she “might have stuck out a bit”.
The friend said: “You only have to look at the picture to see that there is a certain ‘type’. They all look the same and you wonder if Caroline might have stuck out a bit. She’s a normal woman, not a celebrity. You look at Holly’s Instagram and it’s all so planned, so super-glam and very, very showy. That’s not Caroline”, reports The Mirror.
Neither Adam nor Holly have yet commented on the unfolding drama, although Holly has said that Adam is “very good at agreeing with my decisions” when it comes to wedding planning.
