Marlena confronts EJ as Kayla shares her frustrations
Kayla has decided that her recent error in Marlena’s diagnosis happened because EJ’s budget cuts slowed down the hospital lab. So Marlena wastes no time confronting him about it.
At the same moment, Kayla repeats the entire story to Belle, giving her enough reason to confront EJ as well.
Kayla also voices her disapproval of Mark working at the clinic, even though she has no authority over it. She insists criminals shouldn’t get second chances—except the long list of people connected to her family whom she routinely forgives.
Rachel turns dangerous as she targets Sarah
Meanwhile, Rachel had been comfortable with Sarah spending time around Brady as long as Sarah praised her constantly. But once Rachel sensed Sarah might be pulling Brady’s attention away from her, her attitude changed completely.
Rachel decides Sarah needs to be removed from the picture. Her plan? Switch the ice creams to ensure Sarah gets pistachio—the one flavor she’s allergic to.
Brady now faces the uncomfortable possibility that his daughter’s behavior may be far darker than he wants to admit.
Gwen sets the trap, but will Leo flip it back on her?
EJ gives Gwen a task: use her old friendship with Leo to keep him from digging into things EJ wants hidden. Gwen follows instructions and successfully draws Leo in.
But the question now is whether Leo will let himself be manipulated—or whether he will use their past to turn the situation in his favor.
