Days of Our Lives released an extended preview this week, offering viewers a first look at several major storylines set to unfold on the Peacock daytime drama.
Posted on the official Days of Our Lives Instagram account, the extended clip highlights multiple developing arcs across the long-running soap.
In the opening moments of the preview, Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews), Chad (Billy Flynn) and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) appear inside the DiMera family crypt, where Theo uncovers what appears to be human remains. “Oh my god,” Theo says, as Chad asks, “Is that a bone?” Kristen follows with, “You sure?” before Theo responds, “It looks like it’s from a human.”
Back at the DiMera mansion, Rafe (Galen Gering) informs E.J. (Dan Feuerriegel) that the lab has confirmed a positive ID on the discovered remains. As E.J. asks, “You know who the bones belong to?” the preview cuts to Kristen, who appears visibly shaken.
At Bayview, Sophia (Rachel Boyd) visits Rachel’s (Alice Halsey) room. “Hi Rachel,” she says, as Rachel responds, “I know you, my brother said you couldn’t talk.” Sophia then raises a finger to her lips, signaling her to stay quiet.
In Alex’s (Robert Scott Wilson) apartment, he opens up a letter containing a white powdery substance “Don’t come any closer.” He warns Stephanie (Abigail Klein). The preview then cuts to Jada (Elia Cantu) on the phone, saying, “Alert the fire department and the hospital this could be a bio threat situation.”
At the Horton house, Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) tells her family, “It’s a real blessing for us all to be together, to hang the ornaments on this tree, in this place, this home.” The preview confirms multiple holiday returns, including Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), Jack (Matthew Ashford), Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) who all gather to continue the Horton family tradition.
Elsewhere, Johnny is talking to Chanel (Raven Bowens) he’s grateful for their first Christmas as a family, moments before she reveals, “I’m pregnant.”
At the Hernandez house, Leo (Greg Rikaart) asks Javi (Al Calderon) “Will you do me the honor of marrying me.”
Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) tells Gabi (Cherie Jimenez), “Nothing is too much when it comes to you,” before the two share a kiss.
Stephanie tells Alex she is ready for marriage, saying, “I don’t want to wait another minute to become your wife” as the preview briefly shows her in a wedding dress.
EJ and Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) share a kiss before E.J. collapses on the DiMera mansion sofa. “Sorry Mr. DiMera, dinner is going to have to wait.” Cat says, setting down a glass while wearing gloves.
Outside the Brady Pub, Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) share a kiss. Brady later confronts Xander (Paul Telfer) asking, “Is this possibly about me and Sarah?” Xander responds, “You’re fired,” followed by Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) telling Xander, “I can’t stand to look at your face.”
Leo insists, “I love Javi and nothing is going to change that,” before the preview cuts to a brief scene of Dimitri (Peter Porte) returning and kissing Leo inside the DiMera mansion.
In a hospital room, Kristen pleads, “Forgive me please,” as the unidentified man responds, “Get out!”

Tate (Leo Howard) tells Holly (Ashley Puzemis) she wants to move past their issues, but Holly counters, “What would you rather me pretend everything is perfect when it clearly isn’t.”
Paulina (Jackée Harry) visits E.J.’s secret lab, where he says, “I hope you’re ready my dear, there’s something I’m finally ready to show you.”
Gwen (Emily O’Brien) toasts with Kristen, saying, “To both of us getting what we want and screw anyone who gets in our way,” before she is shown kissing Xander.

Steve (Stephen Nichols) catches an unknown man, played by former General Hospital star Wes Ramsey. It is not yet confirmed if that unknown man is Ramsey’s former role of Owen. A representative for the show said viewers will have to wait and see.
Meanwhile Alex is then seen punching a man, who appears to be Jeremy.
Shawn Douglas (Brandon Beemer) gets involved in a police shoot out with J.J. (Casey Moss) and Liam (Hank Northrop).
The promo ends with an unidentified figure placing the DiMera family ring on his finger, followed by E.J. declaring, “The house of DiMera will not fall.”
