GOLDEN Bachelorette fans have expressed concerns that Joan Vassos might have split from her fiancé, Chock Chapple, after spotting clues in an alarming post.
The couple got engaged last year during the season finale of The Golden Bachelorette.
However, their relationship has possibly gone south – at least that’s what fans think Joan, 62, hinted at in a post on Instagram last week.
The Maryland native took to the platform on Thanksgiving morning to share a video expressing her gratitude to her followers.
She began the clip by detailing the “quiet” setting in her house while she prepared a holiday meal, then touched on the unexpected changes she’s endured in her life.
“I was thinking about life a little bit and about how thankful I am,” the TV star began.
“I was thinking that life doesn’t really turn out the way you expected. In fact, it probably never turns out the way you expected, and mine certainly didn’t.”
Joan continued, “But no one is responsible for making you happy but yourself, you’re the only one that can do it, and I’m just thankful that I was surrounded by such amazing people.”
She then gushed about having the support of her family, friends, and the fans she’s gained since her days as the Golden Bachelorette.
The TV personality echoed the sentiment in her caption, writing, “So many things to be thankful for today… Thank you for being here with me on this new journey of mine!”

Fans immediately wondered whether Joan’s message might have had a deeper meaning, and whether she might have insinuated that she and Chock, 62, had parted ways.
“From what you’re saying, I think you aren’t with Chock anymore. Things don’t always work out but I wish you love in the future,” one person commented.
“Is this a soft launch of a breakup? I hope not Hope u are good Joan,” said another.
“Are you letting us know you n Chuck are done?” asked a third.
“There’s no way she and Chock are still together. Nope,” predicted a fourth.
“No mention of Chock, are you no longer together?” questioned a fifth.
Chock won over Joan’s heart on the spin-off’s debut season, beating out runner-up Guy Gansert.
The insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas, popped the question to Joan in July 2024, although they have yet to tie the knot.
Although Joan hasn’t addressed chatter about her and Chock’s possible breakup, she recently promised to keep fans in the loop about their relationship status, regardless of the outcome.
“I would never leave them at the door,” the ABC star said during an appearance on The Tangle with Kyle Ridley podcast.
“I feel like just because the show is over, the door shouldn’t be shut. They deserve to see how this progresses, and if it does well, celebrate with us and if it doesn’t do well, understand what happened.”
She also shared that she and Chock were “doing well” and were “better than we’ve ever been,” nearly one year after their televised engagement.
Before meeting Chock on the show, Joan was married to her late husband, John Vassos, who died of pancreatic cancer in 2021.
