Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker to Celebrate Christmas Together Despite Divorce Drama md13

After spending Thanksgiving with her estranged husband, Todd Tucker, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum revealed she and her ex will reunite again for Christmas. Kandi shared the news in her December 15 Amazon Live stream, just several weeks into her divorce process.

“Y’all already know I’m going through a divorce, but we have decided that we’re still gonna do Christmas together, even though we have all this mess going on right now,” she said before referencing her and Todd’s 9-year-old son, Ace Tucker, and 6-year-old daughter, Blaze Tucker. “We’re still gonna do it together for our kids. And, so, we are spending Christmas in New York. Does anybody have any suggestions of something fun we can do while the kids are here?… The kids are super excited.”

Elsewhere in the stream, a fan asked Kandi what was on her 2025 Christmas list. The Grammy winner immediately sat back for a few seconds with a puzzled expression.

“I was about to say a divorce, but that doesn’t sound quite festive,” she finally answered with a laugh. “What is on my Christmas list? Honestly, I haven’t really thought about anything to get myself. I’m always thinking about what I’m gonna get everybody else… I have no clue.”

It’s no surprise Kandi hasn’t given much thought to her Christmas list. Not only is she in the early stages of a divorce, but she’s also starring in Broadway’s & Juliet, a jukebox musical based on the William Shakespeare play Romeo & Juliet. Kandi will play Angélique through March 2026.

“It is a phenomenal musical… the dancing is amazing, the singing is amazing,” she said in her stream. “It’ just a really, really dope show.”

Although Kandi had previously described the Broadway gig as “healing,” she confessed that it hasn’t been easy, as the production schedule has caused her to miss a few family moments.

“I was super sad yesterday, because my daughter Blaze had her dance recital,” the Atlanta mom recalled. “And she was like, ‘Mommy, I want you to come to my dance recital.’ I said, ‘I know! I want to be there, too, but I gotta [do] the show the same time as your show.’… Blaze is my little twin. She did really good. Everybody sent me videos.”

Kandi Burruss shows love to Todd Tucker days before announcing split

Kandi and Todd met in 2011, while Todd was working as a producer on RHOA Season 4 (2011). They got engaged on New Year’s Day of 2013, and tied the knot more than a year later. Kandi, who is also mom to Next Gen NYC’s Riley Burruss, gave a heartfelt shoutout to Todd while accepting the Wifetime Achievement Award at BravoCon 2025.

“To Todd, thank you for surviving the blogs, the shade, the rumors, the lies, the truths, the almost fights, the actual fights, the reunions,” she joked during her speech. “You earned this award, too.”
