GH’s Carolyn Hennesy Thanks Fans for Get-Well Wishes as She Shares Holiday Cheer
Carolyn Hennesy used a holiday Instagram post to thank fans for their support and spark hope for Diane’s eventual return.
Carolyn Hennesy has been off the General Hospital canvas after breaking her leg and undergoing two surgeries. Sadly, that means that Diane is missing out on some good courtroom time. While she continues to recover away from Port Charles, the cheerful actress checked in this week on social media with a holiday message for fans, which included a fun update.
A Holiday Message With Heart
Hennesy took to Instagram to write, “I’m wishing all of you a wonderful holiday season. Whether you’ll be celebrating in two days, or your eight days have recently passed, or your day occurs at some point altogether different, I hope it is joyful, blessed, and full of love for you and all you hold dear.”
She continued with, “Thank you for all of the recent blessings and get-well wishes. You have all spurred me on, and my leg is healing faster than expected. Love to all; see you in the new year!” She included an image of a festive, illustrated holiday scene.
It had a softly painted winter village with warm lights, small houses, and a pastel sky. Cartoon elves danced in the image’s streets, with text overlaid that stated, “To the family & friends I won’t get to see this Christmas: I love you, I’m grateful for you, and I’m wishing you a most joyful and blessed holiday.” Below that, in decorative script, was simply, “Merry Christmas 🎄.”
Fans Respond With Support and Hope
The comments filled quickly, and they were overwhelmingly affectionate. One fan wrote, “Merry Christmas, Carolyn!” Another added, “I’m glad to read your leg is healing faster than expected.” Several simply wished her peace, health, and a happy new year.
Others couldn’t help but bring it back to their TV screen. “Hope to see Diane back in Port Charles soon,” one viewer shared, while another wrote, “Port Charles needs you back! So do us fans of Diane Miller!!” The sentiment repeated throughout the thread, equal parts concern for Hennesy’s health and eagerness for her eventual return.
