Behind the cover of a mask, anything could happen, and “Bridgerton” was leaning hard into that promise for Season 4, teasing a new chapter where the ton’s most bohemian bachelor finally ran out of exits.
Netflix unveiled the first official trailer for the new season, which shifts the romantic spotlight to Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson, the second son who has spent three seasons dodging the “settle down” expectations that seem to consume everyone else. That resistance apparently cracked at Violet’s masquerade ball, where Benedict met a mysterious “Lady in Silver,” a captivating woman who turned out to be a lady’s maid in disguise.
Season 4 arrived in two parts, with Part 1 premiering on January 29, 2026, and Part 2 following on February 26, 2026. Part 1 included the first four episodes, with the back half landing as the remaining four, a split that suggested the show wanted to stretch the courtship and the secrets a little longer before the final reveal.

The new season’s logline framed Benedict as “loath to settle down,” until that masked encounter flipped his worldview, and the teaser’s copy leaned into the series’ favorite tension point: do these characters rise to the moment, or bury themselves deeper under the rules, reputations, and whispered scandals that ran the place. Either way, the romance was poised to play out under the watchful shadow of the ton’s gossip machine, voiced by Julie Andrews.
New co-lead Yerin Ha played Sophie Baek, with Season 4 again overseen by showrunner Jess Brownell. Executive producers included Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Chris Van Dusen, and the returning ensemble remained strong, featuring Jonathan Bailey and Nicola Coughlan, as well as Claudia Jessie and Golda Rosheuvel.
