CBS has unveiled the official trailer for Y: Marshals, which is set to premiere on March 1, 2026. The series takes place after the events of the final season of Yellowstone, with Kayce now looking to use his skill set for good as the latest member of an elite group of U.S. marshals. He will be joined by a crop of fresh faces, including Upgrade star Logan Marshall-Green as his teammate, Pete Calvin. Judging by the latest footage, Y: Marshals looks like the most explosive installment of the Taylor Sheridan neo-western franchise. You can watch the latest teaser trailer below.
In addition to Grimes, the new cast of Y: Marshals features Logan Marshall-Green as Pete Calvin, Arielle Kebbel as Belle Skinner, Ash Santos as Andrea Cruz, and Tatanka Means as Miles Kittle. Reprising their roles from Yellowstone include Gil Birmingham as Thomas Rainwater, Mo Brings Plenty as Mo, and Brecken Merrill as Tate Dutton. The series was created by executive producers Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, and Spencer Hudnut. Read the official plot synopsis:
With the Yellowstone Ranch behind him, Dutton joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana. Kayce and his teammates – Pete Calvin (Logan Marshall-Green), Belle Skinner (Arielle Kebbel), Andrea Cruz (Ash Santos) and Miles Kittle (Tatanka Means) – must balance the high psychological cost of serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence with their duty to their families, which for Kayce includes his son Tate (Brecken Merrill) and his confidantes Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) and Mo (Mo Brings Plenty) from the Broken Rock reservation.
‘Dutton Ranch’ Beth & Rip Spinoff Is Next After ‘Y: Marshals’
Y: Marshals will be the first of several Yellowstone projects set after the events of the original series. One of which is the Dutton Ranch, a sequel spinoff featuring Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton and Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler. A direct follow-up to the original series, Dutton Ranch will add several notable stars to the franchise, including Ed Harris as Everett McKinney, Annette Bening as Beulah Jackson and Jai Courtney as Rob-Will. The show follows Beth and Rip, as well as Carter (Finn Little), as the family defends their home against stiff competition and some shady new characters. Read the official synopsis:
Beth Dutton (Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Hauser) are grateful for the peace they sought, fought, and nearly died for with their 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch. With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter (Little) becomes the man he’s supposed to be.
Unlike Y: Marshals, Dutton Ranch does not have a release date just yet. It is expected to bow out on Paramount+ sometime in 2026, but there is a chance that audiences will first be treated to The Madison, a loosely related Yellowstone spinoff with a star-studded cast led by Michelle Pfeiffer. The family drama is set to release in 2026, and has already been picked up for a second season at Paramount.
