‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal that Carolyn Hennesy, who plays the formidable bada** lawyer, Diane Miller, on GH, is finally back on the soap.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Diane Has Been Off the Canvas Since October
Diane graced us with her powerful presence in the January 13th episode of GH. Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) needed advice after discovering that her client, Willow Cain (Katelynn MacMullen), is truly guilty.
We can feel for Alexis and her plight, and thankfully, Diane was there to remind her “partner in law” of what’s at stake if she doesn’t continue defending Willow.
Thanks to Willow’s ringtone, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) figured out that Willow was the one who shot Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
She’s very, very guilty, but tweedle dee and tweedle dum decided to go to her and tell Willow’s lawyer, Alexis, that Willow shot Drew.
Trina and Kai could have gone to ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor), who would have been more than happy to grant them an immunity deal in exchange for her scoring a major high-profile win in court.
The pair going to Alexis with the information was their stupid mistake. Diane warned Alexis that the consequences would have been if she had outed Willow to the court.
That said, Hennesy returned to GH today and recently dished to Soap Opera Digest on her exciting comeback. The actress was injured when she got
“tangled up with my dog, Bela Lugosi.”
It was what they call in the insurance business, a “no-fault accident.” Bela Lugosi had the zoomies, and instead of stepping on her pooch, she “launched myself in mid-air and went down wrong.”
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Fans Were a Bright Spot In Henessy’s Recovery
Hennesy went through two surgeries, telling SOD that her recovery has been slow but steady. She admitted,
“Two months ago, I couldn’t move without my walker and brace on my leg. Yesterday, I took the first steps with no brace, no walker.”
Hennesy has wanted to return to GH since the accident. She said that the people on the set, the cast and crew, are like her family, and she missed being there. She received a lot of love from the executive producer, Frank Valentini, and her co-star, Nancy Lee Grahn.
Cynthia Watros, who plays Nina Reeves, lifted her spirits and sent her
It’s going to be fun to watch Diane win the case against Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), which we all know that Killer Miller never loses.
Since Michael is the next logical suspect in Drew’s shooting, the ADA will target him next. When she does, Diane will be prepped and ready for battle.
Apparently, Hennesy’s injury is incorporated into her story, which will likely be explained soon. The beloved actress’s 20th anniversary on GH is also coming up this December.
Hennesy also wanted to make a point of thanking the fans for all their support and well-wishes on social media during her recovery.
She noted,
“The love from the fans truly got me through this and kept my mind right. Their support meant everything to me. The messages on social media regarding my leg and Diane’s absence from the show, I believe, honestly sped up the healing process.”
