Marina Squerciati’s got Chicago P.D. fans begging for more after posting a series of “mad cute” throwback photos from a decade ago, featuring several of her beloved castmates.
Inspired by the internet’s current wave of nostalgia for 2016, with lots of reminiscing about the fashion trends, music, and pop culture of the time, as well as an appreciation for the significantly less curated online experiences they once enjoyed, the actress took to Instagram today, Jan. 15, with a handful of snaps from her photo album throughout the year.
Plenty of Popular Cast Members Made an Appearance ‘Through the Eyes of Marina’
The first photo featured Squerciati and fan-favorite, though rarely seen off-screen, co-starAmy Morton, who plays Sergeant Trudy Platt. The two women stood hip to hip on a treadmill, with Squerciati twisting her torso to face away in a bit of an awkward position, wrapping her arm around Morton’s and resting her palm on the top of the other woman’s forearm.
Another photo found the actress in her old patrol uniform, giggling gleefully as a puppy pressed its snout to her cheek.
In another snap, Squerciati sat up against a wall with her legs drawn up toward her chest, resting her hands atop their peak while her fellow OGs LaRoyce Hawkins and Patrick John Flueger sat on either side of her, leaning in to rest their heads on her shoulders.

Squerciati also shared a few photos she took of her fellow One Chicago stars throughout that year, featuring Jason Beghe and S. Epatha Merkerson hugging one another, one of Morton and her onscreen hubby Christian Stolte posing on the set for Molly’s, Taylor Kinney casually sitting atop his motorcycle, and Hawkins posing on a mucky sidewalk in the bright sunshine.
“2016 through the eyes of Marina 🫶 📸,” the post was captioned.
The Sight of ‘These Absolute Babies’ Made Fans Quite Emotional
Fans were completely delighted by the historic glimpses at the One Chicago stars, hoping more might be in their future.
“We definitely need more of [these] photos 😍,” one commenter wrote.
“This is AMAZING,” another gushed, as someone else called the compilation “mad cute😍.”
“My favorite people,” another applauded, with one calling the photo of “the 3 CPD amigos…cool” and another specifically calling on the first photo showing Squerciati and Morton, calling it “my favorite ❤️.”
Though it’s only been a decade, several also called attention to how much everyone has changed, with one questioning, “Who are these absolute babies????❤️❤️” and another noting, “Look how young everyone is!! I🤗🤗.”
