Bridgerton Season 4 is coming soon, and fans will want to know all about the unique two-part release schedule. Ever since the Netflix series premiered at the end of 2020, it’s been widely regarded as one of the best romance shows on streaming. Adapted from the books by Julia Quinn, Bridgerton is an epic, sweeping Regency-set story about love, family, following your heart, and finding the courage to move beyond societal expectations. Each season focuses on a different Bridgerton, and while Season 1’s focus on Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) was fantastic, many were left wanting more from Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope’s (Nicola Coughlan) Season 3 love story.
Bridgerton Season 4 will follow Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and his desire to find Yerin Ha’s new character Sophie Baek, whom he meets at a masquerade ball. Every episode of the hit series has fancy ballgowns, Lady Whistledown’s gossip column, and plenty of mysteries and secrets. So, let’s find out when the new episodes come out.
‘Bridgerton’ Season 4 Will Be Released in Two Parts on Netflix
Bridgerton Season 4 will come out in two parts on Netflix. Episodes 1 through 4 will drop on the streaming platform on Jan. 29th, 2026, and Episodes 5 through 8 will come out on Feb. 26th, 2026. All eight episodes of seasons 1 and 2 were released all at once on Dec. 25th, 2020, and March 25th, 2022. However, Season 4’s release schedule follows the same pattern as Season 3, which also split the season up into two four-episode parts. After Episodes 1 through 4 of the third season dropped on May 16th, 2024, Episodes 5 through 8 came out on Netflix on June 13th, 2024.
Since we’re so used to an entire season of TV dropping on a streaming service all at once, it’s always interesting when the episodes are split up. In some cases, like when Stranger Things Season 5 was split into three parts, it can be tricky to get fans on board. However, it makes sense to split Bridgerton Season 4 into two parts. This schedule creates intrigue, and since Part 1 has four episodes, that’s enough for a satisfying binge-watch that is sure to be moving, exciting, and surprising.

Thankfully, fans will only have to wait around one month between the end of Part 1 and when Part 2’s four episodes come out. It’s been a long wait since Season 3 ended in June 2024, and while viewers would have no doubt loved to watch Benedict and Sophie’s story earlier, it’s nice to have a heartwarming story to look forward to in the winter months.
Thanks to the passionate moments on Bridgerton, the series is the opposite of a dull and stuffy period piece. The dynamic between the huge Bridgerton family is always compelling, even if we don’t always agree with their actions. Now, with this smart two-part release schedule, fans will have plenty of time to savor the first part of Benedict and Sophie’s story and then discuss the characters and storylines before Part 2 drops.
