Gordon Ramsay’s wife Tana Ramsay revealed that she has a skin condition after spending so much time in the sun.
In a new interview with the Times, published Monday, Jan. 19, the 51-year-old shared that she has melasma, a common, but seldom mentioned skin condition.
“Gordon and I used to bake,” she told the outlet. “Now I have melasma.”
Melasma is a condition characterized by brown or blue-gray patches or freckle-like spots on the skin, which can sometimes become red or inflamed, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
It’s a common skin disorder that can be triggered by sun exposure or tanning bed.

“I’ll never forget going into a pharmacy and the woman behind the counter asking what the stains on my face were,” Tana said.
Today, Tana says she’s a lot more vigilant in the sun and never leaves the house without her favorite sunscreen.
This comes just months after Gordon revealed he had a skin cancer scare from sun exposure.
In August 2025, the celebrity chef, 59, shared a photo on Instagram of his bandaged face followed by a snap of a scar as he shared that he had surgery to remove Basal Cell Carcinoma — a type of non-melanoma skin cancer.
A large bandage was applied to the side of his jaw underneath his ear after the surgery, but once removed, a second photo showed the bandage was covering several stitches.

“Grateful and so appreciative for the incredible team at The Skin Associates and their fast reactive work on removing this Basal Cell Carcinoma, thank you!” Gordon captioned the post.
Basal Cell Carcinoma often appears as a slightly transparent bump on the skin and typically occurs on areas of the skin that are exposed to the sun, such as the head and neck, after long-term exposure to ultraviolet radiation from sunlight, according to Mayo Clinic.
“Please don’t forget your sunscreen this weekend ❤️,” Gordon urged in the caption, adding, “I promise you it’s not a face lift! I’d need a refund…….😜.”
