EXCLUSIVE: Elsbeth Season 3 will welcome beloved stars Mark Linn-Baker (Succession, Perfect Strangers), Joanna Gleason (The West Wing, The Good Wife/Fight), and Didi Conn (Grease, Benson), who will appear together in Episode 16, alongside the previously announced Griffin Dunne.
Linn-Baker will play Barney Corman, a bookstore owner and literary critic who grew up in the same hometown as famed novelist Elliott Pope (Dunne). That shared history makes Barney’s criticism sting, with deadly consequences.
Conn plays Beverly Corman, Barney’s wife turned widow, who is determined to get justice for her late husband.
Gleason will play Maura Davidoff, Elliott Bishop’s brilliant first wife, who wrote her own tell-all about her marriage to a literary legend.
As we noted last week, Dunne’s character Elliott is a world-famous novelist with a massive ego and a thin skin. When a childhood acquaintance and book critic points out the flaws in Elliott’s latest opus, the plot turns deadly.

Based on the character featured in The Good Wife and The Good Fight, Elsbeth Tascioni (Carrie Preston) is the astute but unconventional consent decree attorney working with the NYPD to catch New York’s well-heeled murderers, utilizing her unique perspective. Wendell Pierce also stars as Captain Charles Wallace (C. W.) Wagner.
Other guest stars this season include Lindsey Normington, Jaime Pressly, Andrew Rannells, Tony Hale, Dianne Wiest, Lois Smith, Sarah Steele, who returned as her Good Wife/Fight franchise character Marissa Gold, Stephen Colbert, William Jackson Harper, Annaleigh Ashford, Andy Richter, and Amy Sedaris, among others.
CBS Studios produces Elsbeth, which is executive produced by Robert King, Michelle King, showrunner Jonathan Tolins, Liz Glotzer, Erica Shelton Kodish, Bryan Goluboff, and Gail Barringer. The Kings co-created the series.
