Actress Annie Potts has confirmed fans of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage will be seeing Meemaw again.
While speaking to TV Insider, Potts said that she shot an episode that has not yet been released. The Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage‘s season 2 mid-season finale aired in December 2025, with a new episode airing on February 26, per the publication.
“Yes, I just did one last week. I don’t know when that will be coming up, but yes, I will be doing that again,” said Potts to TV Insider.
Potts let viewers know that the upcoming episode will see Meemaw, born Constance “Connie” Tucker, getting “up to no good again.”
“I don’t wanna give it away, but she’s a grifter. She can’t resist it. She can’t resist doing a little grift and trying to make a little money,” continued Potts.
Potts starred as Sheldon (Iain Armitage), Georgie (Montana Jordan), and Missy Cooper’s (Raegan Revord) grandmother throughout the entire seven-season run of Young Sheldon, which ended in 2024. So far, Potts reprised the character in four Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage episodes, per IMDb. As fans are aware, the sitcom is a sequel to Young Sheldon that focuses on Georgie and his relationship with Mandy (Emily Osment).
While speaking to TV Insider, Potts explained she’s only making guest appearances on Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage because she’s busy playing Aunt Sarah in Best Medicine. However, she clarified that she always enjoys playing Meemaw, who was originated by June Squibb on The Big Bang Theory.
In addition, Potts told the publication that she misses her Young Sheldon castmates, particularly Armitage and Revord.
“The little ones, Iain and Reagan, were only eight when we started, and now they’re 18. And I mean, literally before our very eyes, they’re grown up and so handsome and beautiful and sweet, it was really lovely, and I miss them,” said Potts during her interview with TV Insider.
Potts made similar comments about working with her young Young Sheldon castmates in a May 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight. The Ghostbusters actress said that she “love[s] these kids” and enjoyed working on the CBS show’s set.
“It’s been a very happy place for us to come and do the work,” said Potts to Entertainment Tonight.
She also shared that she felt emotional about Young Sheldon coming to an end.
“It’s going to be a very emotional time for us here and for those who’ve been watching the show. We’ve been doing it for seven years. We’re family and it’s hard to give that up. It went by very quickly. We’ve watched these precious children grow up and they’re dear to us,” said the Pretty in Pink star during the 2024 interview.
