Emilia Clarke became a household name as soon as she was seen making an entrance in the George R. R. Martin series Game of Thrones. And now she is all set to shatter the high records all over again, joining hands with Haley Lu Richardson.

In case you’re unfamiliar with her, the aforementioned actress was featured in the HBO thriller series The White Lotus. The two great actresses will headline the series, playing the leading characters around whom the story will revolve.

Another name associated with the Peacock series is the fabulous British actor Adrian Lester, who is also known for outings such as Case 39, the 2017 movie Euphoria, and more.

Then comes the actor and comedian from Canada, Vic Michaelis, and the fabulous Nicholas Podany, as well as another brilliant talent, Artjom Gilz, starring alongside Petro Ninovskyi and Andrew Richardson.

Looking at the grand and beautiful cast, the series already looks exciting enough. However, we can definitely say it has a lot more to offer.

Ponies Is a Thriller With Unmatchable Potential

Ponies is an espionage thriller mystery that involves two widows, Clarke and Richardson. A big world of crime and adventure awaits them, as their job offers many tasks that involve more than just taking lives.

Here is what the official plot of Ponies reads, according to Variety.

Moscow, 1977. Two ‘PONIES’ (‘persons of no interest’ in intelligence speak) work anonymously as secretaries in the American Embassy. That is until their husbands are killed under mysterious circumstances in the USSR, and the pair become CIA operatives.

Bea (Clarke) is an over-educated, Russian-speaking child of Soviet immigrants. Her cohort, Twila, is a small-town girl who is as abrasive as she is fearless. Together, they work to uncover a vast Cold War conspiracy and solve the mystery that made them widows in the first place.

Susanna Fogel is the co-creator of the series, who is also known for her work on The Flight Attendant as well as the action comedy The Spy Who Dumped Me starring the gorgeous Mila Kunis and the SNL star Kate McKinnon. Joining Fogel on the journey ahead is David Iserson.

Iserson, too, is an accomplished entity in Hollywood, having titles to his name, such as 2015’s Mr. Robot and 2007’s Mad Men, while also having experience working with Fogel in the 2018 spy comedy. Fogel will also direct the series, with Iserson serving Ponies as its showrunner.
