Katie Leung (Lady Araminta Gun)
Yes, that’s right, you probably know her as Cho Chang from the Harry Potter
series. In the new season, she plays Lady Araminta Gun, the stepmother of Sophie Bridgerton. Yes, we really watched her go from a timid Ravenclaw student to a mother of three. Though her character is reminiscent of Lady Tremaine from Cinderella, we still can’t deny her charm and style. Katie Leung was born in Scotland to a Hong Kong father and was raised between Hong Kong and Edinburgh. In fact, she mentioned travelling back and forth up to four times in a single year! And like a true Hong Kong kid, what she enjoyed most in her teen years was partying in Hong Kong.
Isabella Wei (Posy Li)
Stepping into Lady Bridgerton’s masquerade ball dressed in an elegant mermaid-inspired gown, Isabella Wei plays Posy Li. She’s the younger of the Li-Gun sisters and the more likeable of the trio, thanks to her warm and gentle nature. Isabella Wei was born and raised in Hong Kong, where she attended Chinese International School and trained as a dancer with the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation before turning to acting. You might also recognise her as Ling-Yi, the geisha-dressed character in the mystery Netflix series, 1899.
Michelle Mao (Rosamund Li)
Born in Tennessee and raised between Hong Kong and Beijing, Michelle Mao plays Rosamund Li in the new Bridgerton season. Michelle brings a wealth of experience to the role, having appeared in a number of TV shows and films, including A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, where she worked alongside Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell. On the show, Rosamund Li is known as the more spoiled and snootier sister, but wow, does she have style and poise!
