It’s been a long time since Bode Leone (Max Thieriot) found himself in trouble with the law … but this time, it’s over something even he wasn’t expecting.
With Fire Country season 4 continuing to captivate viewers every Friday night on CBS, it’s hard to ignore just how popular the show has become. In fact, it’s developed such a fandom that its spinoff series, Sheriff Country, also has a legion of followers tuning in. And now, both shows have come together for a crossover.
Ahead of the crossover airing on April 3, 2026, Good Housekeeping has an exclusive clip that gives you a small clue about what to expect on Sheriff Country come Friday night. Nathan Boone (played by Matt Lauria) seems to have a bone to pick with Bode, and you can see him getting pulled over for speeding. And while Bode isn’t too thrilled about the prospect of getting fined, he clearly has a hunch about why Boone decided to do it.
“You know, speeding limits are there to keep people safe,” Boone says in the clip. “And you, sir, were going six miles an hour over the speed limit.”
“We both know how it’s not about six miles an hour, Boone,” Bode challenged. “It’s about six runs. Last year’s softball game, no? Station 42 destroyed the sheriff’s office by six runs.”
Sounds like we have a rivalry between Station 42 and the sheriff’s office that comes to a head on the baseball field with a cutthroat game.
Although viewers don’t know how this year’s competition will turn out, it seems that Boone is prepared to try something different this time around. As he writes Bode a $150-ticket, he makes sure Bode knows he’s coming for him later that day on the diamond.
“This year’s game will be a different story,” Boone promises as he hands over the ticket for Bode to sign.
“Alright,” Bode replies. “I guess we’ll see in a few hours.”
“Look on the bright side—you should be able to run those bases a little faster, now that your wallet’s 150 bucks lighter,” Boone added. “You drive safe, now.”
Looks like we have a baseball game to attend when we tune into Sheriff Country this Friday.
