Meet Marco Rios: The New Face Shaking Up General Hospital md13

Marco on General Hospital started off as a real mystery man before viewers learned more about the guy. The character first appeared on March 13, 2025, played by actor Adrian Anchondo, who viewers might recognize from episodes of shows like NCIS: Los AngelesThe Rookie, and FBI: Most Wanted. While Marco wasn’t on GH long, here’s everything you need to know about his life and tragic death.

Marco Rios was first seen when Lucas Jones found the credit card he’d dropped in a Miami bar. The attorney introduced himself and offered to thank Lucas by buying him a drink. Lucas got a little too drunk and rambled on about his troubled history with ex-husband Brad Cooper, who had just let him down again, and Marco was understanding. After Lucas planted a kiss on him, Marco asked for his room key, and Lucas was mortified to wake up the next morning not remembering the night before. Marco assured him they did nothing because Lucas was too drunk to consent, but he had to take a shower because Lucas threw up all over him. Mortified, Lucas insisted on getting his number to pay for his dry cleaning.

A few weeks later, Marco arrived in Port Charles to interview with Diane Miller at her law office about joining her law firm. He explained he wanted to move from corporate law to defense law, and represents J&S Associates, which is now based in Port Charles. She was impressed by his list of clients and told him he still needed to interview with her partner, Alexis Davis. After noticing a photo of Lucas on the desk, Marco went to The Metro Court and texted him to join him. After telling Lucas all about the job opportunity, Marco then headed to Wyndemere, where it was revealed that his father was Jenz Sidwell. Diane was stunned when Sonny Corinthos revealed that her firm’s new attorney was Sidwell’s son, and she and Alexis nearly retracted their offer, but he insisted he’d distanced himself from his father’s business as Alexis had the Cassadines’, and they kept him on.

Marco had a strained relationship with his mother, Natalia Ramirez, and was concerned when she planned to skip town rather than turn over evidence on Sonny to the authorities. He was rescuing Kristina Davis from a fire at Charlie’s Pub when his mother died of an accidental overdose. Marco blamed Sonny for his mother’s death and vowed to make him pay. Sonny had Marco kidnapped to use as leverage against Sidwell, but Lucas received a mysterious key and address and managed to rescue his beau. At the police station, Marco declined to accuse Sonny, lying that he’d gotten lost on a hike. Sidwell assured his son that Sonny would pay, but Marco complained he was taking too long.

Carly Spencer tried to warn Marco away from Lucas, but he remained committed to his boyfriend. He stepped in to represent Michael Corinthos in Diane’s place when he was questioned by the police regarding the attempted murder of Drew Cain. He also represented Nina Reeves when her alibi for the night of Drew’s shooting fell apart and spoke with Tracy Quartermaine about contesting Monica’s will.

Marco wanted Lucas to move into Wyndemere with him, but Sidwell was concerned that his presence could affect their secret work on Cesar Faison’s final project, as well as their plotting to take out Sonny. When Marco proposed living together, Lucas was worried it was too soon, but agreed. Once under the same roof, Marco struggled to hide his involvement in his father’s shady dealings from his boyfriend, especially keeping him from discovering the secret lab and prison cell hidden below the estate and explaining why Britt Westbourne was hanging around.

Unfortunately, Lucas overheard Marco telling his father they couldn’t have Carly visiting her brother and snooping around. Confronted by his boyfriend, Marco confessed everything. Later, Lucas asked him to get some of Britt’s Huntington’s medication so it could be reverse-engineered and free her from Sidwell’s control. Wanting to prove he was a good person deep down, Marco agreed, but got caught rooting around in the safe by Pascal. So, when two vials were later missing from the safe, a suspicious Pascal immediately suspected Lucas and contacted WBS director Ross Cullum, who was Sidwell’s secret partner-in-crime.

Marco passed the meds along to Lucas to bring to Britt, then went to work at the law office before meeting his beau for dinner later. But he was interrupted by Cullum, who brutally stabbed Marco before heading off to intercept Britt before she could leave town. Alexis was horrified to return to the office and find Marco bleeding out on the floor, and she and Danny Morgan kept him alive until the paramedics arrived to rush him to the hospital. Dr. Isaiah Gannon performed emergency surgery on Marco, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to save him. Lucas was heartbroken by the loss, and Marco’s death only intensified Sidwell’s desire to make Sonny pay.
