Young Sheldon Star Hangs Out With George Actor In New Filming Location
Young Sheldon cast member Montana Jordan spends some time with George actor, Lance Barber, in a brand new filming location for season 7.
A set image from Young Sheldon season 7 shows Montana Jordan and Lance Barber hanging out in between takes in a new filming location for the show. The Big Bang Theory prequel is wrapping up its run in May with a shortened season. This limits what Young Sheldon can tackle in its final year, especially considering all the lingering plots it needs to tackle for a satisfying finale. Still, it seems like the CBS show is taking some creative risks and aiming to offer something new to its viewers.
Jordan shares an image of him and Barber spending time on what appears to be a new set for Young Sheldon season 7. Check out the photo below:
In the snap, the actors are sitting in the middle of a room in an older building, complete with stained windows and intricate metal railings. It looks like they are in a cafeteria-type setting. This could be an unseen room at East Texas Tech or space from Sheldon’s new school in Germany. Regardless, it’s a set that hasn’t been used in Young Sheldon.
When George Dies In Young Sheldon Season 7
Aside from the new set for Young Sheldon season 7, the image highlights the limited time Barber had with the cast. Sheldon’s father is the only Cooper family member who didn’t get to make a physical appearance in The Big Bang Theory because he died long before the events of the sitcom. He is expected to meet his end in Young Sheldon season 7, although specifics about his demise are still scanning at the moment. What’s clear is that Young Sheldon cannot escape George’s death.
There are only 13 episodes in Young Sheldon season 7, and CBS needs to be strategic about when George’s death will go down. If it does it late in the show’s run, it risks ending the family show on a devastating note, and while the series has evolved into a drama, it will be quite heavy to tackle a demise for its final storyline. However, if Young Sheldon tackles it too early, George’s death may bog down the remainder of its run. More than the character’s death, it’s what comes after that is trickier to handle.
Whatever the case may be, George’s death is inevitable. Young Sheldon may have been able to get away with skipping his cheating scandal, but it cannot do the same thing about his demise, considering that it will shape what the future holds for the Coopers. Perhaps without Georgie and Mandy’s show, it could have left it out of the canon, but with the spinoff coming, the tragic loss needs to be acknowledged.
