Jenny McCarthy just wants a good night’s sleep!
During a Tuesday, Jan. 6, appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, the Masked Singer judge spoke about her unique sleeping arrangements with her husband, Donnie Wahlberg and how she copes with his snoring.
When Kelly Ripa asked McCarthy, 53, about the Blue Bloods actor and what makes him so “addictive,” McCarthy had nothing but praise for her husband of 11 years. “He is the nicest human being you will ever meet,” she began.
“Being married to him treats me like a queen,” gushed McCarthy. “Communicates, loves me. He is absolutely what you could call textbook, truly perfect.”
“He’s also human. There are, I wouldn’t call it a problem, but challenges. To be blunt, snoring,” she added.
Ripa, 55, asked if Wahlberg, 56, “took up snoring in the marriage,” to which McCarthy said yes.
“I built in these insulations that really help me get through the night now. I sleep with these giant headphones on every night.”
McCarthy brought in a selfie of herself to demonstrate, rocking her giant headphones, and Wahlberg facing the other way, with their massive wall of pillows between them.
“And then I built a Great Wall of China [with pillows],” she quipped. “That is like a soundproof room.”
If Wahlberg lets out a large snore, McCarthy said she can hear him over the ocean waves sounds she plays on her headphones. She said that she will tap him and he will roll to the other side.
“Other than that, it’s perfect,” she concluded. “I will say it works.”
In May 2025, McCarthy told ENTERT about her first impression of the New Kids on the Block member. “If I were in my late 40s, I probably would’ve fit into that slot of New Kid’s fan, but I’m 52, going on 53, so I was too cool for that,” she joked.
“The first time I remember seeing Donnie was on Entertainment Tonight, and he was on his motorcycle, and I was like, ‘Look at that guy trying to look so cool on his motorcycle!’ It’s so funny…I never thought one day I would be marrying Donnie,” added McCarthy.
She also told PEOPLE in March 2024 that throughout their marriage, Wahlberg has always gotten her flowers every week. “He’s never missed a Monday, in 10 years. He treats me like a queen.”
“He’s my everything,” McCarthy said. “He still gives me butterflies. He’s the love of my life.”
