In the Monday, April 6 episode of General Hospital, Sidwell (Carlo Rota) refused to believe Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) claims of innocence, Justine (Nazneen Contractor) worried about Jordan’s (Tanisha Harper) safety, Stella (Vernee Watson) managed to sell Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Portia (Brook Kerr) on her big idea, Jacinda (Paige Herschell) tried to get information from Charlotte (Bluesy Burke), Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) had big news for Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard), Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) overheard something that could send him down a dangerous path, and more. Here’s how it all went down.
Enemy Territory
After Marco’s funeral service, Sonny wanted to look Sidwell in the eye as he told him he had nothing to do with his son’s death, but Sidwell wasn’t about to take him at his word and intoned, “You have gotten away with far too much for far too long. But no more.” Sonny assured his rival he knew about wanting revenge, mentioning the murder of his own son, Morgan, and insisted Sidwell was making a mistake focusing on him and allowing Marco’s real killer to go free. Sidwell reminded Sonny that he’d once kidnapped Marco and accused him of having him stabbed to death to die in fear and agony.Ric stepped in to argue that the brutality of the murder was a message, but not one that Sonny would send. The attorney pointed out that, given the evidence Sidwell had connecting Sonny to Dalton’s death, Sonny would be foolish to go after him in any way. Sonny warned that since Sidwell didn’t know who killed Marco, he had an enemy he wasn’t aware of. After they left, Sidwell raged to the empty church at Sonny daring to claim innocence and vowed to Marco’s ashes that he would even the score.
Good News/Bad News
Michael was taken aback to find Willow at the Quartermaine mansion, and she explained she was there to meet with Brook Lynn and Chase. He appreciated her helping them, and mentioned he’d stopped by the house yesterday to talk to her about Kai training Wiley privately. After flashing back to when she realized Kai had been in the house the night Drew was shot, Willow recovered and approved of the idea as long as Wiley was okay with it. Out in the hall, Chase joked that he should arrest Brook Lynn for breaking the speed limit driving home, but she was eager to learn if they were going to be Phoebe’s foster parents. She then began second-guessing asking a congresswoman to intervene on their behalf, but he urged her to take a breath and not jump to conclusions.
Michael exited and wished Brook Lynn luck as she followed Chase and Willow into the living room. Willow told the prospective parents that the social worker was impressed with how they’d dealt with Wiley, but concerned about their strong connection to the baby. Brook Lynn and Chase insisted they were only going to raise her until they could find the infant’s actual family, and Willow informed them that they had been conditionally approved to foster Baby Phoebe. Brook Lynn and Chase were thrilled and thanked Willow for all her help, though Brook Lynn looked concerned when Chase walked Willow out. The new congresswoman was happy to return the favor after Chase worked so hard to get her exonerated for Drew’s shooting, then mentioned that her chief of staff was doing new background checks on everyone, including Kai. “You don’t happen to remember if his name came up in the investigation into Drew’s shooting, do you?” she asked carefully.
Her Father’s Daughter
Danny visited Charlotte at Crimson, and Jacinda remarked on how cute they were before leaving them to talk while she went back to work in Nina’s office. Charlotte didn’t understand why Danny let his classmate Hank get to him and provoke a fight, suggesting that he do something that could actually help his father instead. Jacinda eavesdropped on their conversation as Charlotte warned Danny against trying to retaliate against the WSB, reminding him that her father was a genius and he was still in hiding. Danny suddenly announced that he had a plan and took off.
As Charlotte got back to work, Jacinda gently tried to probe her about her father, but the teen maintained she had no idea where her fugitive dad was. As Jacinda continued to ask about Valentin, Charlotte praised him and insisted that he knew exactly what he was doing. Then, Michael arrived, and Charlotte went to grab a latte. Jacinda bristled when he mentioned Willow, and Michael explained he ran into her when she arrived to talk to Brook Lynn and Chase. He added that something about her new job in Congress wasn’t sitting right with him, and Jacinda tried to brighten the mood with a kiss.
