Wright Makes Cameo in David Duchovny’s Project
Wright caught wind of a report about Irizarry’s involvement in Soapbox. She took to X (formerly Twitter) to post, “Someone else may have a cameo in this movie as well.” Wright cheekily added two winky-faced emojis and raised-hand emojis.
This is Wright’s first appearance in a Hollywood movie since 2015. She previously appeared in a cameo in David O. Russell’s film Joy, which starred Robert De Niro, Diane Ladd, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Isabella Rossellini, and Virginia Madsen.
Vincent Irizarry Dishes About Soapy Satire
Soapbox is a satirical comedy about an aging soap opera, starring Duchovny. The rest of the movie’s details are currently unknown at this time. Duchovny co-wrote the project with Max Barbakow.
According to the synopsis on IMDb, Duchovny “finds himself caught in the absurdities of today’s culture wars.” Irizarry took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes photos of the film.
In his caption, he wrote, “It’s been a crazy, wild, fun several weeks shooting the comedic film Soapbox opposite David Duchovny, under the fantastic direction of Andrew Jay Cohen, with a stellar cast, namely Laverne Cox [Orange is the New Black], West Duchovny, Brian Huskey, Jimmi Simpson, Fred Melamed, Josh Bonzie, Jennifer Grey, and my dear friend and past Days of Our Lives alumnus, Christopher Sean.”
