Tracker Season 4 Gets Official Verdict From CBS

Tracker‘s future has been confirmed. Justin Hartley has been a popular fixture on TV for quite some time now. The actor became known worldwide for playing the DC superhero Green Arrow in Smallville, the Superman prequel series that paved the way for many live-action DC TV shows. Years later, Hartley starred in the acclaimed This is Us for six seasons.

Since 2024, the actor has returned to his action roots with Tracker, CBS’s hit series about Colter Shaw, a skilled tracker who travels the United States helping local law enforcement solve cases in exchange for a reward. Tracker debuted on February 11, 2024, with the show releasing two hit seasons so far, with its third now awaiting its mid-season premiere on March 1, 2026.

CBS has announced that Tracker has been renewed for season 4, with the Justin Hartley series continuing its successful run. The confirmation that the action series will return comes two months before Tracker season 3 returns with its tenth episode and well before the season ends airing its 22 episodes. The early renewal announcement is a testament to the success of the Justin Hartley series.

Tracker was not the only show renewed by CBS in the network’s latest announcement. Other renewed series for the 2026-2027 TV season include Georgie & Mandy’s First MarriageMatlockElsbethFire CountryNCISNCIS: Origins, NCIS: SydneySurvivor, and The Amazing RaceOther previously renewed shows at CBS include Boston BlueGhostsSheriff CountryFBI, and the new shows Einstein and Cupertino.

Tracker‘s renewal was never a question of whether it would happen, but when. The reason for that is due to how the CBS procedural is not only the network’s biggest series, but also the best performer on broadcast TV as a whole. Tracker season 3 continues to perform strongly for the network.

The action procedural debuted with 8.03 million viewers and has peaked at 8.85 million Live + Same Day viewers so far with episode 3. Tracker season 3 also brought back a fan-favorite guest star. After first appearing in the series as Colter Shaw’s older brother, Russell, in Tracker season 1, episode 12, “Off the Books,” Jensen Ackles returned for season 3’s first two episodes.
