Gordon Ramsay’s image as the “ideal husband” has been shattered by personal scandals md20

Gordon Ramsay gives his children a monthly allowance of “a couple of hundred dollars”.

During an upcoming appearance on the YouTube show, Last Meals, the high-profile chef revealed he wants his kids to learn the value of money.

The multi-millionaire gave his older children pocket money every month when they were younger. If they saved it up throughout the year, he would give them an additional amount at the end of the year. He believes this taught them the importance of saving up.

“Every time they got their allowance, every month, a couple hundred dollars, if they save that up across the 12-month period, I would match that at Christmas for them,” he said in the preview clip.

“They got to stay true to their form by saving every dollar, and so when you start that practice, at sort of 10, 11, 12, 13, they got their part-time jobs, all of a sudden their minds are focused about their career paths.”

He added, “And so yeah, that was the opposite way that I grew up. They are super disciplined and they are on it, man.”

Gordon and his wife Tana have six children: Megan, 25, twins Holly and Jack, 24, Tilly, 22, Oscar, four, and Jesse, seven weeks.

The 57-year-old’s appearance on Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals show airs on Tuesday.
