NBC is officially scheduled to air another new episode of their hit news/documentary show, “Dateline NBC” tonight, January 23, 2026, and it will feature a look at story about a house fire death scandal.
According to NBC’s official press release information for this episode, it’s labeled/titled, “Secrets in the Ashes.”
The preview intel from NBC’s episode description is telling us that the Dateline NBC team is going to take a deep look at a story about a Goliad, Texas woman named Patricia Leigh Mills. She was killed in a house fire, but her son miraculously escaped.
Patricia’s husband Delbert went on to marry a new woman named Allison less than three months later, causing Patricia’s family to immediately think he had something to do with her death. Eventually, Allison was arrested in a murder for hire scandal.Andrea Canning handled the reporting duties for this episode and case. It will feature interviews with: Delbert Mills, Patrick and Allison Salinas.
