There is still so much love between The Nanny family.

On Sunday, March 29, Fran Drescher shared a photo with her costar, Charles Shaughnessy, who played her employer-turned- love interest Maxwell Sheffield. The two got together to take in a play written by fellow The Nanny alumni Rob Sternin and Prudence Fraser.

“Miss Fine & Mr. Sheffield reunite at the Premier of the new musical Somebody to Love written by The Nanny executive producer/ writers Rob Sternin & Prudence Fraser at The Rubicon Theater in Ventura, CA,” she wrote in the caption. “The production, w/a great cast was very entertaining & moving. The smart book covers, like a time capsule, all the hopes and trials of the 1970’s into the 1980’s. Women’s rights, gay rights, aspirations for a traditional life vs sex, drugs and rockin’ roll told through 4 unlikely college friends who make a verbal agreement on their graduation day to always stay in touch and support each other.”

“It’s a jukebox musical which means the music is not original but very familiar popular songs spanning the years of the story so it’s enjoyable to hear by actors who sing beautifully. Twas great as always to see my dear Charles Shaughnessy as well as other The Nanny alumni! GO!”

The reunion came just days after Drescher shared birthday love for her The Nanny daughter, Nicholle Tom.

“Happy Birthday Nicolle! You are a hilarious & gorgeous actor and a beautiful person inside and out! I am proud to call you my tv daughter on The Nanny! May this year be yours and may success, good health and happiness abound. May your talent, quirkiness & long legs get you the part of your dreams! Always Fran💋❤️🎂.”

Last fall, Drescher supported Tom as she played Renée Taylor in a show about the life and love she shared with late husband Joe Bologna, written by Taylor, who played Drescher’s mom on the sitcom.

In her caption celebrating the big night, Drescher wrote, in part, “The top notch cast is lead by The Nanny costar Nicholle Tom who is both fearless & incredible as Renee and Jack Maxwell of Booze Traveler in a tour de force performance as Joe! The supporting cast are major character actor pros who play multiple characters and breathe life into the many faces throughout their lives. Costumes for Renee, Nicholle & Jack by The Nanny designer & Emmy winner Brenda Cooper! If you’re anywhere near Stockbridge MA., GO! Next stop hopefully Broadway!”
