Those tuning in to the Stumble finale will be treated to an epic reunion between cheer coach Courteney Potter (Jenn Lyon) and her own former coach — Marg Hargberg.

Courteney has voiced complaints about her old coach throughout the season, but now, viewers finally get to meet her, and she certainly measures up to the hype.Katey Sagal smiling in a navy blazer at the One Piece: Into the Grand Line fan event.

A scene from the finale’s trailer shows that Courteney hasn’t been exaggerating about how Marg treated her. (Watch the full finale episode on Friday, March 13 at 8:30/7:30c on NBC or stream it starting the next day on Peacock).

The meeting goes down at the cheerleading championships in Daytona, Florida, where the Buttons — the squad at Headltston State Junior College that Courteney coaches — are competing after working hard all season to qualify.

“I can’t believe my old coach is here,” Courteney says to the cameras in the mockumentary after spotting Marge at the championships. As she explained it, Marg used to “really scream at me and say very mean things about my legs. She gave me PTSD.”

And the situation wasn’t about to get any better.

Courteney decided that she wasn’t going to let Marg get to her anymore because, “I’m a grown and very accomplished woman now.” So, she brought the cameras over with her as she approached Marg to say hello.

But Marg was still stuck in the past, and full of insults. “I would recognize those weird legs anywhere,” Marg told Courteney. “Too big to fly, too small to base.”

What’s worse, to Courteney’s horror, Marg revealed that she’s one of the judges in the competition, causing Courteney to stress that Marg would grade her squad unfairly.
