Coach Courteney Potter (Jenn Lyon) will do anything to get her cheerleading squad on Stumble to the championships in Daytona and boost their chances of winning. That includes begging for money to get them there and bringing on new cheerleaders to give the group the best shot at taking home top prize.

Now that the junior college cheerleaders that Courteney coaches have officially qualified for Daytona, she did both of those things in Episode 11 of the NBC sitcom — which is titled “Hildebünch” and debuted on Friday, February 27 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT. (The episode arrives on Peacock the next day).

“In order to have the best odds of winning at Daytona, you need the maximum number of people on mat — 16,” Courteney explained to the cameras in the mockumentary sitcom. “You can take more with you. They just won’t be able to compete. But I have a different problem. I’m four short.”

Courteney found herself stressing about how expensive it is to get her team to Daytona, calculating it would cost $19,000 for hotels, flights, and meals alone.

Coach Courteney Potter needed money and more cheerleaders for Daytona
She first tried telling her husband Boon (Taran Killam) that she needed “to use the rainy day fund to get these kids to Daytona,” but he replied that their “rainy day fund has run dry,” since Courteney’s been paying for things like parking tickets and medicine for the college students she coaches.

The cheerleaders decided to raise money by hosting a car wash, and managed to rake in $4,000 by practicing their routine while cleaning vehicles. But then a man who said he owns “all the auto spas in town” demanded that Courteney hand over the earnings to him by threatening her.

Meanwhile, Courteney began holding auditions to find four more students to take to Daytona. Eventually, she found four that had enough talent to make the cut, although she deemed at least two of them to be “lunatics.”

Still in need of funding, Courteney resorted to visiting Augustus Blimpfh (Jeff Hiller), the wealthy owner of the town’s Candy Button factory, who’s also known as the Buttonmeister.

Who is Hildenbunch, played by Lola Wayne Villa, on Stumble?
As Courteney asked Augustus for money, a teen girl entered the room and yelled, “I hate it here.” Augustus shouted back, “Shut your mouth!” The girl then let out a blood-curdling scream and Augustus yelled at her to “go back to your room” and then locked the door after she left.Hildenbunch (Lola Wayne Villa) frowns in a frilly white and plaid dress on Stumble Episode 111.

The business owner explained to Courteney that the girl was his daughter Hildenbunch (Lola Wayne Villa), who was “home from boarding school.”

Courteney told Augustus that money he donated to her cheer squad would benefit her students, giving examples of how participating on the team has kept them out of trouble. Augustus replied, “Hildenbunch has been kicked out of every boarding school she has attended. Nobody can tame her. Maybe you and your team can transform her into something. I’ll write you a giant check.”

Hildenbunch, apparently eavesdropping from the next room, yelled out, “I will never team up with that cheerleader monster,” prompting Courteney to walk out.

When Courteney arrived back at the school gym, she found out from her cheerleaders that they’d raised another $8,295 towards the trip by selling off various items and services.

Boon also sold off some of his prized items and raised some more money towards his wife’s Daytona trip.

At the end of the episode, Hildenbunch came to the school gym to try out for the cheer squad after Augustus wrote out a check for $13,000.

To everyone’s surprise, Hildenbunch impressed with a series of spins and flips.

But that only caused another issue for Courteney. “She is gonna play,” Courteney revealed to the mockumentary cameras of the championships in Daytona. “Which means one of my kids might not be able to compete.”
