Evan and his wife spent a lot of time on social media, posting hours and hours of intimate details about Angela’s life. After catching wind of a potential secondary suspect — Cash White, who the squad strongly suspected was innocent — Evan agreed to testify for the defense against Cash.

Evan had every reason to believe that Alan Ross was the true assailant, but with Alan’s fixation on Angela rooted in her father’s social media activity, Evan decided to showcase the most desirable story. But Price expertly showcased to the jury that Evan Cole had shared Angela’s location online on the night of the murder, proving that testifying for the defense was simply in his best interests.

Aside from Stoltz’s acclaimed performances in the 1986 drama Mask and Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 classic Pulp Fiction, he’s also delivered iconic performances in films like Little Women (1994), The Butterfly Effect (2004), and 2011’s Fort McCoy. Despite his shady and questionable history with Angela, Cash maintained his innocence, but with enough damning details from his past being leveraged against him, it was up to A.D.A. Nolan Price to prove to the jury that Cash was innocent after he was presented as an alternative suspect. Fortunately for him, a mistrial was announced.

Aside from starring as Captain Charles Vane in the action series Black Sails, many may recognize McGowan as Dogknott in The Boys and its spinoff Gen V, or as Jody Silverman in the Emmy-winning series Shameless, but his resume boasts several other iconic recurring characters.
