Before Bernadette, Howard’s character often came across as a bit too creepy, and many fans didn’t fully connect with him. Once Bernadette entered the story, Howard’s personality immediately began to evolve. She effectively grounded him, softened his rough edges, and helped make him far more likable!
Bernadette’s sharp wit and fierce personality also injected new comedic energy into the show. She perfectly balanced the group, gave the series another strong female voice alongside Penny and Amy, and opened up exciting new storylines that kept things fresh.
By the later seasons, fans truly couldn’t imagine the show without her. Melissa Rauch took a small part and brilliantly turned it into one of the most important roles in the series. In many ways, Bernadette helped save The Big Bang Theory and kept it successfully thriving for years!
