Primetime fans have been patiently waiting for their favorite shows to come back, and we now know when One Chicago and other beloved NBC series are returning. The network announced their Fall 2024 schedule on July 9, and it features release dates for the new seasons of Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and many more.
Premiere week will begin in September and conclude in mid-November. The network plans to kick things off on Sept. 23 with the Season 26 premiere of The Voice, which will feature returning coaches Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani, as well as newcomers Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé. ChiHards can then look forward to the return of their favorite Dick Clark procedural dramas on Sept. 25.
The sophomore seasons of The Irrational and Found will premiere in October, along with Season 24 of Law & Order and Season 26 of Law & Order: SVU. Law & Order: Organized Crime, on the other hand, was not included in the schedule as it will be moving over to Peacock for Season 5. Fans can still anticipate some Olivia Benson (Mariska Harigtay) and Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) crossovers, however.
“I think Organized Crime could move to Mars, we’d still be doing cameos in each other’s shows,” Harigtay told Soaps.com during a May 2024 interview. “And if they don’t write the cameos for us, we’ll just find out where the other person is shooting and stroll through the background of a scene. Wait wait wait, rewind that, was that Olivia getting off the bus?? Keep an eye out!”
Sitcoms are being saved for later on in the season, with McEntire’s new series Happy’s Place debuting on Oct. 18, followed by the new mockumentary St. Denis Medical.
