‘Roseanne’ sitcom revival being considered

Roseanne Barr is considering reviving her Emmy-winning family sitcom, Roseanne, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sources said an eight-episode revival being shopped to networks would include the return of John Goodman and Sara Gilbert.

Running on ABC, Roseanne (1988 – 1997), about a working-class Illinois family, won four Emmys. In 1989 – 1990, Roseanne was the top television series.

After Roseanne ended, Barr guest-starred on TV comedies and Goodman accepted film and TV roles.
