Briderton season 4 starring Benedict

Welcome to the marriage mart, Benedict! Dearest gentle readers, Bridgerton has made the official announcement: Season 4 is all about our favourite second son.

It’s only been a month since Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) graced our screens for the third season of everyone’s favourite Regency era Netflix series, and to say we’ve fully recovered would be a lie. From the steamy carriage and mirror scenes to the reveal of Lady Whistledown, the hot and heavy friends-to-lovers plot line based on Julia Quinn’s beloved books earned its spot in the top 10 streaming English language shows — and in our hearts.

But in the Ton that doesn’t sleep, Mayfair’s most eligible bachelors are already preparing for the next season of balls and courtship — and you don’t want to get left behind. Whispers about which Bridgerton sibling would step into the leading role for the fourth season, taking the reins from Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor), Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), and Colin before them, were plentiful, with Francesca (Hannah Dodd) and Eloise (Claudia Jessie) as firm contenders beside Benedict (Luke Thompson). But in the end, it is he who will be the talk of the ton — and we cannot wait.

In Season 3, our future leading man spent balls brooding from the corner and nights figuring out what he wants in a relationship — with the help of the smart and quick-witted Lady Tilley Arnold (Hannah New) and her friend Paul Suarez (Lucas Aurelio), with whom he entered into a throuple of sorts with. When speaking with Netflix’s Tudum, Thompson explained that Benedict’s “identity has been little bit of a question mark, but it doesn’t ever seem to really bother him… He’s finding it out.”

So what can we expect from this upcoming season? Apparently there’s a certain Lady in Silver who captures the attention of the free-spirited second son at Violet Bridgerton’s (Ruth Gemmell) masquerade ball. But without a release date or more information, we’ll have to wait to find out.
