Gordon Ramsay Alexa skill lets the TV chef SLAM your cooking skills – here’s how to get it

Amazon Echo owners can now enable a “Gordon Ramsay skill” that lets the celeb chef slam your cookery skills in his typically brutal style.

Gordon Ramsay probably won’t like your cooking, but would you expect anything else?

Simply ask your Alexa what Ramsay thinks of your latest dinnertime creation, and he’ll offer up an appraisal – usually in the form of a sweary tirade.

Ramsay has built up a terrifying reputation thanks to his aggressive style of criticism, which leaves contestants on his various TV cookery shows with quivering lips and shattered dreams.

And the Alexa version of Ramsay is no less upsetting. One of his canned responses is: “How can you do this to food, and f***ing sleep at night?”

“The Gordon Ramsay skill allows you to invite your favourite chef over for dinner,” the skill’s creators explain.

The Gordon Ramsay skill will work on all Alexa-enabled devices

“Just tell Gordon what dish you made, and he’ll give you his best critique. You just better hope your cooking is up to his standards.”

You can ask a whole range of questions, including:

Ask Gordon Ramsay what he thinks about my waffles
Ask Gordon Ramsay to taste my nachos
Ask Gordon Ramsay to critique my spinach dip
Ask Gordon Ramsay to review my casserole
Ask Gordon Ramsay about my grilled cheese
How to enable Gordon Ramsay Alexa skill on your Amazon Echo
Head into the Alexa app on your phone, tap the menu icon, and then select ‘Skills’.

From there, search for ‘Gordon Ramsay’, and a skill made by Ground Control should appear at the top.

The skill itself is called ‘Gordon Ramsay’, and it’s rated as Mature – so not one for the kids, perhaps.

Then, say to your Alexa device: “Alexa, open Gordon Ramsay.”

From there, you’ll be able to ask Gordon Ramsay a whole host of questions that almost always lead to culinary fury.
