A Bear and a Hunk join the Chicago Med doctors for S10

Chicago Med is set to welcome Sarah Ramos from The Bear and Darren Barnet, known for his role in Never Have I Ever, as series regulars for its upcoming 10th season. Their arrival comes following the exit of Dominic Rains, who played Dr. Crockett Marcel since Season 5.

Barnet and Ramos will join the existing cast, including S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, Marlyne Barrett, Jessy Schram, Steven Weber, and Luke Mitchell. Barnet will take on the role of Dr. John Frost, while Ramos will portray Dr. Caitlin Lenox.

The departure of Rains has left fans wondering if he might make a guest appearance in the future. Meanwhile, the show’s leadership is also experiencing change. Co-showrunners Diane Frolov and Andy Schneider stepped down after nine seasons, with Allen MacDonald stepping in as the new showrunner.

Ramos, who has appeared in The BearParenthood, and Winning Time, has also made her mark as a writer and director. She created the web series City Girl, and is adapting her Audible Original erotic thriller Zaddy into a feature film.

Barnet, who gained popularity as Paxton Hall-Yoshida in Netflix’s Never Have I Ever, has also appeared in films such as Anyone but You and Gran Turismo. His voice-acting credentials include roles in Blue Eyed Samurai and Skull Island.

In addition to the new cast members on Chicago Med, the broader Chicago franchise is expanding its roster. Dermot Mulroney is set to join Chicago Fire as Chief Dom Pascal, succeeding Eamonn Walker’s longtime character, Battalion Chief Wallace Boden.

Barnet is represented by Paradigm, 111 Media, and Felker, Toczek, Suddleson, McGinnis, Ryan, while Echo Lake Entertainment and Ziffren Brittenham represent Ramos.

Fans can look forward to seeing these new dynamics unfold when Chicago Med returns this fall on NBC and Peacock.
