Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan Share First Kiss on Fifty Shades of Grey Set
Ooh la la! It looks like the action between the two costars of Fifty Shades of Grey is revving up — starting with a gentle peck on the cheek.
The highly-anticipated onscreen adaptation of E.L. James’ best-selling erotic series continued filming in Vancouver on Sunday, Dec. 8, when Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) and Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) were spotted sharing an intimate moment — with their clothes on, for now. The images were taken outside of Grey Enterprises, the company helmed by kinky billionaire Grey, with Dornan in his 9-5 business attire. The hunky former model, 31, looked handsome in a sharp, tailored suit in gray, crisp white shirt and big-faced watch with black leather straps. His counterpart Johnson, 24, kept it simple in an oxblood red dress, trench coat and blunt bangs with messy, unkempt locks.
At one point, Johnson leaned up to give the Irish actor a sedate kiss on his left cheek, as he grasped her right arm and looked on with a troubled expression. In between takes, director Sam Taylor-Wood gave the talked-about duo pointers on how to properly execute the scene.
In a cover story interview with Entertainment Weekly last month, Dornan said he was open to the graphic sex scenes chronicled in the series: “I’m a fairly worldly guy,” he revealed. “I grew up in a very liberal place. I’m not saying we had a playroom, but I’m not shocked by [the sex in the book]. It’s essential to tell the story. I can’t believe films that don’t invoke the sexual side of it. So it works for me.”
