Derek Haas and Michael Brandt created the Chicago Fire series, focusing on the fictional stories of the firefighters and paramedics at Chicago’s Firehouse 51. The series has spawned several spinoffs comprising the larger One Chicago shared universe. The One Chicago shows are just part of the composition of the many Dick Wolf franchises, which dominate television with the One Chicago and Law & Order franchises on NBC and the FBI universe on CBS.
