Young Sheldon Season 7 Dethrones Missy As The Best Cooper (& Her Replacement Is Much Better)

Young Sheldon Season 7 Dethrones Missy As The Best Cooper (& Her Replacement Is Much Better)

After reigning for years, Young Sheldon season 7 officially dethrones Missy as the best Cooper family member and replaces her with someone better.
Missy’s time as the best Cooper family member ends as she is officially dethroned by someone better in Young Sheldon season 7. After her limited appearance in The Big Bang Theory, George and Mary’s only daughter has repeatedly shown all her positive attributes. During the time of hardship, Missy rises to the occasion, as she did after the Medford tornado in the Young Sheldon season 6 finale. She is also witty, funny, charming, and loyal. While she made mistakes in the past, there’s no denying that Sheldon and the Coopers have relied heavily on her during their worst times.

Even when Missy was often sidelined by Young Sheldon, she still managed to be a scene-stealer thanks to her quips and comments. While she isn’t as intellectual as Sheldon or as entrepreneurial as Georgie, she has the emotional maturity that both boys lack. Somehow, Missy is also the most grounded character in Young Sheldon simply because she is relatable, even when she makes poor decisions. Unfortunately, the time has come for her to pass the baton as the Coopers’ best family member, with Young Sheldon season 7 officially giving the title to a brand-new character.

Georgie Replaces Missy As The Best Cooper Character In Young Sheldon
George And Mary’s Firstborn Has Been Steadily Growing As A Character.

After Sheldon started college at East Texas Tech, Young Sheldon gradually shifted his storytelling to become an ensemble series. The transformation was completed in season 6, as all members of the Cooper family got their own compelling narratives. Season 7 continues that trend, which makes it clearer how they differ from each other, indirectly highlighting the characters that have improved the most in recent years. Young Sheldon season 7, episode 6, “Baptists, Catholics, and an Attempted Drowning,” emphasizes just how much Georgie has grown, making him the new best Cooper family member.
The return of Young Sheldon’s true villain prompted a new family drama instigated by Mary. Mandy gets overwhelmed by their family’s meddling, and while Georgie can be dense at times, he makes up for it by being earnest and willing to make up for his mistakes. Outside of this conflict, he has been nothing but devoted to providing for his family, especially after Baby Cece’s birth. Meanwhile, in the rare times that he spent time with Missy, he proved that he prioritizes making good decisions by steering his sister away from doing dumb teenage things, like underage alcohol consumption.
How Big Bang Theory Makes Georgie’s New Young Sheldon Title Better
Missy’s Future Life Is Bleak.
Unfortunately, Missy becomes the least successful Cooper sibling in the future, as revealed by The Big Bang Theory. This creates a discrepancy in terms of her potential in Young Sheldon and her eventual life. Meanwhile, Georgie ends up being the owner of the largest tire chain in Texas, which fits with his positive character development in recent years. Granted that The Big Bang Theory already established that Georgie and Mandy will eventually split up, that can easily be fixed, even before Young Sheldon wraps up in about a month by revealing that they end up getting back together.
