Bridgerton Season 4: Jonathan Bailey, Yerin Ha joins cast, & more

Dearest gentle readers! Penelope and Colin’s love story captivated the Ton in season three, and hopefully, Bridgerton season four will continue the saga of their happily ever after. But the story’s not over yet — with new episodes on the horizon, there are bound to be further storylines and secrets waiting to be revealed.

The new installment will focus on Benedict Bridgerton. The previous season finale mentioned Lady Bridgerton’s upcoming masquerade ball. In Julia Quinn’s book An Offer From a Gentleman, Benedict meets his love interest, Sophie, at a masquerade ball — so we look forward to the mystery unfurling on that. Talking about Benedict in an interview, Shonda Rhimes said, “He’s a charming man who’s trying to find his way. He’s very delightful and funny. I’m excited for everybody to watch him.”

We also hope to see more of Kate and Anthony’s storyline in the new season. Showrunner Jess Brownell said in an interview, “I think the strength of sending them off to India for a little while is that it does leave the door open for them to come back, schedules allowing. I think, understandably, when any of our lead actors have given over their lives for their season, in future seasons, we want to be supportive of the fact that they do have other projects coming in, and to ask actors to come back just to be in the background is not really fair to them. We love Jonny and Simone, and we’ll have them back as much as we are able to.”

In this article, we will tell you when and where to watch Bridgerton season four, details about the plot, new and returning cast members, an official announcement video, and more. We will keep updating this guide with new information as and when it becomes available.

Release date & Where to Watch

A release date hasn’t been announced yet, but it may return in 2026. As usual, you can watch it on Netflix. There will be eight episodes this season.

Brownell said, “We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited, and then they have to be dubbed into every language. And the writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace. We’re trying to speed up but somewhere in that range.”

Plot

The next season of Bridgerton will focus on Benedict, the second son. While his older and younger brothers are happily married, Benedict is hesitant to settle down. However, everything changes when he meets an intriguing Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.

Obviously being the older brother, I’m going to be there to support the youngsters as we go.”
