NCIS LA season 13: Deeks to betray Kilbride as Kensi left fighting for her life?

NCIS LA season 13, episode eight is on its way to CBS this coming weekend and judging by the looks of the first-look promo, it’s bound to be an explosive affair for Kensi and Deeks.

The seventh episode of NCIS: Los Angeles season 13 served up a thought-provoking and hard-hitting storyline this past weekend on CBS as the drama delved into the topic of PTSD. In harrowing scenes, the likes of Deeks (played by Eric Christian Olsen) and Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) saw the devastating impact it can have on someone firsthand before colleague Fatima (Medalion Rahimi) bravely opened up about her own ordeals.

The episode was widely praised by the NCIS: LA fandom but looking ahead to episode eight, Deeks will be facing turmoil of a different kind involving wife Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah).

Titled A Land of Wolves, the synopsis for the next episode reads: “The NCIS team scrambles to find Kensi when she is attacked and kidnapped by a mysterious militia group while helping a group of migrants cross the border.”

And the trailer throws fans right into the thick of the action as a dishevelled Kensi is held at gunpoint.

Kilbride’s voice can be heard overhead: “One of our own is on the line.”

Kensi is then struck on the back of the head by the unknown assailants, throwing her to the ground.

Situated in some sort of cave, Kensi is rendered unconscious and unable to stand.

Back at the team’s HQ, Deeks is understandably anxious to make sure his wife is safe.

“Where is Kensi?” Deeks snaps at somebody before the trailer cuts to Kilbride looking rather stern

Kilbride then snaps: “You’re going nowhere near this?”

Split-second shots of Sam and Deeks looking concerned appear on-screen before the trailer ends.

However, with Kensi in danger, surely Deeks won’t adhere to Kilbride’s warning to stay away.

With the NCIS: LA boss seemingly ready to put other members of the team on the case, will Deeks defy his boss and go after Kensi himself?

But if Deeks defies his boss’ orders, could it leave his place on the team at risk?

Fans will have to tune into the next instalment when it airs on Sunday to find out for sure.

But in the meantime, many have been expressing their delight at the prospect of a “Densi” episode hitting their screens.

Margaret Canty added: “Please deeks has to save kensi because their the best couple in televison.”

Ian Mintz weighed in: “Kilbride, you better not even think about trying to stop Deeks from going with the team on this case! Kensi is his wife, and her life is on the line in Mexico! He needs to be there to rescue his wife before she gets killed!”

“I know Deeks will find kensi,” Kyle Kaminski added while Nate Townsend weighed in: “So is deeks finally going rogue.” (Sic)
