Britain’s Got Talent viewers ‘rumble’ magicians trick that left Simon Cowell gobsmacked

Britain’s Got Talent think they have ‘rumbled’ the secretion to one of the show’s latest auditioning magicians. The ITV talent show’s auditions continued on Sunday night (May 12).
BGT aired towards the end of the weekend viewing after being bumped from its usual Saturday night slot. Viewers who were looking forward to tuning in for the next instalment of the show on Saturday night were left disappointed as the it had been ‘pulled’ from the schedule.
While a reason wasn’t given, the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 was airing on BBC One at the same time so instead, fans of the show were still given their BGT fix but on Sunday night instead.
The latest instalment of audition episodes, which were filmed across London and Manchester earlier in the year, began with judges Simon Cowell and Bruno Tonioli visiting a children’s choir called Amasing, where they surprised them by appearing from a giant box. After their visit, the group took to the stage to sing one of their own songs before being awarded a Yes by all four judges.
But the panel was also left unimpressed by a number of acts during the episode, including what appeared to be a robot dog that was unable to successfully complete an assault course, and 28-year-old entertainment manager James Digby who performed Whole Again by Atomic Kitten.

However, it wasn’t long before the golden confetti was raining down onto the stage again as an act from Japan who used his hair to do impressions won Amanda’s second golden buzzer of the series. Nabe, who said he wants to “make people smile all over the world”, imitated a number of characters including Maleficent, Snoopy, Shaun The Sheep, and Simon Cowell’s chest hair.
And the impressive auditions continued as magic act Trixy wowed the judges, particularly Simon Cowell, with a trick that involved getting hold of Bruno Tonioli’s watch and surprising Simon with things from his past which left him branding the performance “unreal”.
Trixy started his act by asking Bruno for his watch, before placing it in a handkerchief and making it disappear. He then took out a bag filled with Simon’s “memories” which consisted of a number of photos from moments across the decades.
Bruno, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Simon then all had to take a picture out, with snaps including him with King Charles, and him at former X Factor act One Direction’s movie premiere. As Simon picked out another snap he was told not to look at it, and to follow the performer out of the palladium doors and onto the street.
As they made their way out he made Simon look at the picture, and it was of his dog Pebbles, to which Trixy claimed to have had a recent dream involving barking, resulting in him getting a chain with a tag that had been engraved with the name Pebbles. He was also given a minute model of a red car, to which Simon explained it was his old motor and he was left stunned seconds later when it appeared in front of him outside the theatre.
Trixy claimed it was his actual car from years earlier, and he told Simon to take out a jewellery box that was in the glove box. On returning to the judging panel, Trixy asked Simon to give the box to Bruno who opened it to find his missing watch inside. And as the judges fawned of the impressive actor, BGT viewers claimed to have figure out how it was done on social media.
@m4typ said: “Somehow Trixie gave the watch to a runner and they placed it in the glovebox! Hence by the time Simon arrived at his car, the watch was already there! #bgt.” @Racingfan211 echoed: “The producers told him about the car and slick camera angles mean the watch was placed in glovebox.. he was ok but not the extent they’re making out #BGT.” @AreYouS69668298 added: “#BGT Well designed magic trick, it’s all about the prep and a bit of sleight of hand.”
