Yesterday, after releasing the teaser and poster for the sequel to Fifty Shades of Gray, Universal Pictures just released the first trailer for the movie Fifty Shades Darker.
The center of the trailer is of course the sadistic billionaire Christian Gray and the beautiful student Anastasia Steele and the couple’s troubled love story.

Through the trailer, viewers can see that Christian Gray and Anastasia Steele have decided to separate, but it seems their feelings are still there. That is shown through the struggles between the two in this haunting trailer. In addition, a number of new characters also appear in the trailer such as billionaire Christian Gray’s lover – Elena Lincoln or Gray’s new love rival Jack Hyde. The question is, will Fifty Shades Darker be of better quality and more profitable for Universal than Fifty Shades of Gray?

Besides stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, Fifty Shades Darker also stars Hugh Dancy, Bella Heathcote, Eric Johnson, Kim Basinger and Rita Ora. James Foley will replace Sam Taylor-Johnson as director of both Darker and Freed, while the main screenwriter is Niall Leonard, husband of female writer E. L. James.
